An Easy Way to Attach Downspouts to a Wall
Downspout Brackets as well as Downspout Hooks (Wood hooks) along with Downspout Straps are very simple items used to secure downpipes to walls / vertical structures.
Straps are normally made with edges formed by a roll former (pipe lock) to give it a nice detailed finished edge.
We also manufacture custom brackets, and these may be made with a plethora of materials, such as copper, aluminum, or even stainless bar for example.

Most of our pipe bands are offered in Kynar 24 Gauge Colored Galvalume, 24 Gauge Galvalume Plus, 0.032″ Kynar Aluminum Colors, 0.027″ Standard Aluminum (colors), Copper, Lead Coated Copper, Zinc, Freedom Gray and other materials.

FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions
How many downspout straps do I need per 10' of pipe?
Normally, 2 straps are used per length of downspout. Usually each one will be about a foot from the seam / end of the pipe. Additionally, you may place one strap in the middle of the pipe and use the other 2 straps at the seam, to hide them.
Can downspout brackets and pipe bands be custom made?
Yes, when feasible. Our talented craftsmen can replicate or custom manufacture many elaborate pipe bands, brackets or straps in different sizes and materials.
What is the standard distance off the wall?
There isn't really a standard, however, the farther away from the wall a downspout is, the more unsightly it may look.
How are downspout straps installed?
Straps are riveted or screwed to the downspout, either from the front or preferably the side, then a nail, masonry pin or screw to wall on each side.
Do wood hooks come with wire?
They do not.
How are downspout hooks installed?
Hammered into a wall. the downspout fits into wood hook which is then fastened to the downspout, or secured the pipe with a wire.
