Finials
Roof Spires and Finials
Copper, Lead Coated Copper, Freedom Gray and Several Powder Coated Stainless Steel Colors
K&M Sheet Metal specializes in the custom manufacturing of Roof Finial and Spires.
Our Finials are made to order in several standard designs. We also offer custom manufacturing, whether that's by modifying one of our standard finials or manufacturing a whole new style.
For colored finials, we offer stainless steel as the base product, featuring much cleaner, soldered, water tight lines, instead of riveting and caulking.
These decorative items may also work as lightning protection if a rod is installed under a finial and connected to the ground (not a standard offering).
Have a picture or drawing of something else you'd like for us to manufacture? Let us know. We may be able to custom manufacture it for you.

FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions
What are finials for?
Mostly, finials are used as a decorative addition to a roofline, but in some cases they can be used as lightning protection (if specified to be built that way).
Are custom designs available?
Yes, our craftsmen can help you design and will custom manufacture a finial of your choice.
What is the best material for a finial?
Anything that can be soldered or welded is optimal. A finial is the first thing water will hit, and it is important that the finial is water-tight. Technically, some designs could be manufactured with steel / aluminum and riveted together, however, it is optimal to build those out of stainless steel, solder, then paint / powder coat.
How are finials installed?
Normally, nailed down, fastened or soldered to a roof structure.
K&M Sheet Metal offers nationwide shipping. We supply custom finials to Contractors and Home Owners all over the country, as well as our local North Carolina Market (Raleigh, Charlotte, Durham).
